“Leadership Platform” (LP) offers BMW Group managers the opportunity to deep dive into leadership requirements in an innovative dialogue setting and to raise impact within their teams.
In a one-day session, leadership teams explore their team’s potential and identify areas of action to increase their effectiveness.
On a workshop area of 470 sqm, the Leadership Teams reflect on their individual leadership behavior in a one-day workshop, explore their team potential and identify areas of activity in order to increase the team´s effectiveness.
With more than 14,000 trained executives, the "Leadership Platform" is an established tool for strategic leadership development within the BMW Group with a very high reputation.
yellow design is the lead agency of the »Leadership Platform« since 2013 and responsible for spatial conception and CI development as well as the transformation of its didactic conception to meaningful interactive contents & exhibits.
The spatial concept is based on the idea of an open network with various content-related nodes and strategic directions, which, depending on the interests of the participants, can be flexibly and modularly combined.
The teams navigate effectively through their workshop session using digital touchscreen-devices for each participant and a central tablet-control for moderation.
Digital realtime-documentation enables the workshop-moderator to make reference to all votings and workshop results at any time - enabling a clear and hands-on dialogue. All daily results will be added automatically to an edible presentation to foster follow-up meetings and implementation into daily routines.

The BMW Group Leadership Platform was launched in Munich in 2017, supported by yellow design as the lead agency for both spatial and content design.
In order to establish the successful workshop concept of the "Leadership Platform Munich" in diverse BMW Group locations worldwide, yellow design developed an international rollout concept with a a highly flexible, digital workshop application.
The "Leadership Platform Global" is a highly collaborative software solution, that enables global BMW Group facilitators to set up their own leadership space within an efficient time- and budget-framing.
The workshop-application allows the selection of an individual daily agenda and the thematic focus on the most relevant topics of the local leadership team.
Each of the 8 selectable stations has innovative collaboration options, such as whiteboard functionalities, multi-touch interactions, split-screen votings and real-time documentation with global evaluation.

BMW Group has implemented within the framework of a ”leadership skills“ training programme the spatial concept „Leadership Space Oxford“, conceived and designed by yellow.
Five interactive steps allow participants to gain broad insights into diverse topics about leadership. Within this framework practical knowledge as well as theoretical aspects are conveyed in a unique way as a ”tangible experience“.
Supervised coachings and individual workshops make use of this know-how and showcase the holistic concept of training and space at the Leadership Space Oxford.
